The Puppet Peacock was one of the Birds that Roger designed and built for Moscow Ballet's "Nutcracker" that tours USA.

These birds needed to fit into compact crates so that they could handle the touring. The mechanism for the tail opening is a simple system based on the umbrella mecahanism.
